Automatic, high-precision soap film gas flow meter

The flow meter, filled with a surfactant solution and connected to the gas lines,
becomes operational as soon as the power supply is activated.
Within the first 10 seconds after switching on, it is possible to select the MANUAL operating mode.
If no selection is made, the device automatically starts in AUTO mode, in which the flow meter
continuously measures the gas flow around the clock, automatically initiating
the next measurement cycle after each completed measurement.
The current volumetric flow rate is displayed in real time on the LCD and supplemented
by simultaneously recorded temperature and ambient pressure data. On the PC, all measured
variables — including the flow rate normalized to standard reference conditions (0 °C, 1 bar) — are
available for advanced data inspection and graphical analysis.
Extremely high measurement accuracy is ensured by detecting the film’s transit along
the cylinder’s central axis, effectively removing any influence from geometric imperfections
or surface defects at the peripheral wall.
The flow meter performs regular self-diagnostics; if necessary, it automatically optimizes
its operating parameters, with the progress and results displayed on the LCD display.
